What are you excited about this year? I'm excited to spend a whole year abroad: speaking a foreign language, tasting new foods, being constantly amazed by how big America is...!

But above all, I am very excited about the school: I find it very interesting to teach in a language that is not the children's mother tongue. I am very curious to see how different the american pedagogical system compared to the fremch one. I think americans do many things in the school they have all sorts of themes and projects, they make the children be very active - I find it very inspiring and I'm sure I will learn so much during this year.

Have you been to the U.S. before? I have been to several cities in the USA, but it was always very quick (a couple days in each city), so I would love to go back even in places I already visited, to have a deeper insight. I drove down the West Coast from Seattle to Los Angeles, then I visited Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. I also know New York a little, because I went there 3 ou 4 times; but I would love to go back!

What would you like to see/do while visiting the U.S.? I don't know Minnesota at all, so I would like to explore it. I'm very curious to learn how people live here, what they do for fun, what the local food is, what sports are popular... So living in an american host family is just perfect for this!

Also, I would like to travel around and explore new cities, the small ones as well as the big ones!

Where have you lived? I spent most of my life in Lyon, which is where I currently live and study. But when I was 16 years old, I moved to Montreal in Canada and spent five years there. I loved it, but I was glad to come back to Lyon too, because it is such a wonderful city!

Tell us a little about your family: My family is spread out all over the world!

I have an older brother who is 25 and who lives on the Réunion island. I also have a 21-year-old sister who lives in Canada. I am 23 years old, so I'm right in between them! I get along very well with my siblings and we try to see each other once or twice a year at least, to spend hollidays together.

My father lives in France too, but my mother lives in Spain.

I don't have any pets, but I love dogs! I wish I had a house or a big appartment to have a big dog!

What is your favorite subject? French and English (and other languages classes)

What are your hobbies and interests? I love reading. I read tons of novels and books of all kinds. I love learning and speaking foreign languages too, which is great since I travel a lot!

I am not good at sports at all and I do not exactly enjoy it, except for swimming. It is the only sport I'm good at! I also like badminton, but I'm really bad at it, so it's really just for the fun!

I also like to cook for people, try new recipes...

What style of movie do you like best? I like comedies the most: I'm not very picky, I enjoy all kinds of humor. I may sound cheesy, but I love movies with a happy ending... It always puts me in a good mood!

Weirdly, though, my two favorite movies of all times are two very sad movies: "Life Is Beautiful" by Roberto Benigni, and "Don't Worry, I'm Fine" (in French: "Je vais bien, ne t'en fais pas") by Philippe Lioret. I'm easily moved and I cry gallons of tears everytime I watch them - and yet, they're still my favorites.

What foods do you enjoy eating? I love many kinds of food. But, mostly, I absolutely LOVE desserts, pastries, cakes, chocolate and candy! I definitely have a sweet tooth. In fact, I love it so much that all my teeth must be sweet.

I eat everything: meat, fish, vegetables... But I only have one regret: I have a hard time eating spicy food. Even the Buffalo wings are too hot for me! And that prevents me from trying all sorts of exotic dishes, like Indian, Thaï, Asian or African food... I wish I could eat spicy food, because I'm sure I would love it!

Do you have any food restrictions or allergies? I can eat of everything! I don't have any allergies. But the only food I'm very picky about is seafood (except for fish). I try it often, hoping to learn to like it, but it seems like clams, oysters and mussels are just not for me!
